Road tripping through Puerto Rico: A Photo Essay

During my week in Puerto Rico, I spent a lot of time in the car. Seeing as I have spent 15+ hours in a car on more than one occasion, I found it kind of comical that Puerto Ricans often lament a mere 3 hour ride. Of course, I had never seen a Puerto Rico road before. While some of full of unnecessary stoplights, animals, illogical traffic jams, and other such nuisances, some of the roads are just down right pretty. While we drove through the windy mountain roads, I was very happy not to be behind the wheel and instead, behind the lens.

I have no idea what kind of tree this is.

Considering I took all of these through a window of a moving car, I don’t think these turned out too badly. Maybe Puerto Rico is just too beautiful for even amateur photographers like me to mess it up.
