Silly Sights in New York City: A Photo Essay

New York City is full of so many incredible, beautiful, and picturesque sites. I took photos of a lot of those, of course, but instead of showing you a photo essay with the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and other such tourist attractions, I thought I’d say some of New York’s personality with you. Here are some silly sights I saw in New York City.

As I general rule, I don’t like when my food’s description has a question mark involved.

Maybe the elegance can’t get no better, but I do believe the grammar could.

I saw a case of this on the floor of the local deli. I’m not even sure what sort of “water” it is, but I don’t think that whiny cartoon kid is a very effective marketing tool.

This as was everywhere. It is both hilarious and infuriating. Marketing this book as “the book all your skinny friends have read” is a little ridiculous, don’t you think? Also, the little factoids mentioned in this ad are horribly inaccurate. Yes, you have the ability to skip breakfast, but it is going to mess up your metabolism, thus making weight loss more difficult. Sure, a cold bath will firm you up, but only for a very short time. Worst of all – this ad actually tries to tell you that soda is better for you than broccoli. What is this madness?!

This one is by far my favorite. It just captures the attitude of New York City so perfectly.
